Fashion Night Out 2010

The prelude to autumn/winter fashion week is of course Fashion Night Out when London becomes even more of a hive of fashionable activity.

Our Vogue Fashion Night Out started at Regent Street's Pull and Bear with an interactive style-off between Pelayo Diaz and Alexis Knox. Four rounds of styling in the store's window attracted a compelled crowd who placed x-shaped stickers on the window of their preferred Pull & Bear look. After four rounds we weren't entirely sure who the winner was, but with drinks flowing freely it was certainly a great way to kick off the evening!

A hop down Oxford Street to Selfridges where there were a plethora of Fashion Night Out events taking place, we found ourselves totally engrossed by the Vivienne Westwood shoe exhibition in the Ultralounge. Featuring Naomi Campbell's famous sky-high, stumble-inducing platforms, the 1980's winged shoe that inspired a whole range of scented jelly shoes in collaboration with Melissa, this season's flamboyant footwear and many more iconic shoes in this retrospective spanning five decades. It's an exhibition an exhibition not to be missed, running until September 22nd.

Footwear swooning aside, we headed onwards to Selfridge's Mulberry event, hosted by a heavily pregnant Creative Director Emma Hill, with Brix Smith-Start and Diana Vickers in attendance for an extremely glamourous accessories party.

All in all, a fantastic lead-in to London Fashion Week- we can't wait!
