Studio East Announce Shortlist Winners

Stratford's Westfield shopping centre is continuing to celebrate London's creative spirit with their Studio East initiative. The winners of each category have been announced, read more to find out about the creative stars of the future.

In association with Westfield Stratford City, a new generation of creative innovators are being granted the creative commissions to be embedded in the fabric of the Westfield Stratford City, the brand new gateway to London's Olympic Park.

With Tracey Emin, Tom Dixon, Roland Mouret, Erin O'Connor and Mary Portas forming the Cultural Panel for the Studio East initiative, the decision as to who would be provided with bursaries for creative commissions to be incorporated into the £1.45 billion development was in their capable hands. Representing their own areas of expertise across the categories; fashion, art, product design and environment, we can all be certain there were no five people better suited to have made the judgement.

Over 150 VIP guests attended, including Henry Holland, Carri Munden and Gareth Pugh. After being escorted through the work in progress of Westfield Stratford City to breathtaking panoramic views of the Olympic site and London skyline from the roof top of brand new Bistrotheque, the shortlist winners were announced to critical acclaim and are as follows:
