adidas ObyO x kzkLOT - ss80s

The creative minds from adidas Originals and the ObyO collective have again teamed up with CLOT inc. and Kazuki Kuraishi for this summery redux of the adidas Superstar 80s.

The colour way is a flip of the original black model with a slightly less rigid upper, made from a light-weight perforated mesh that allows for maximum breathability, which, with summer just around the corner will come as a welcome choice.

As with anything Kazuki has contributed to the ObyO line, the whole execution is carefully considered, with a wealth of detail that includes kzkLOT co-branding on the tongue alongside the Trefoil and Kazuki’s own ObyO branding, tastefully executed in an embossed gold foil. The gold theme is extended to the outlined 3-Stripes on the upper and tie in nicely with the overall aesthetic and balance of the shell-toed silhouette.

The stripe running vertically along the heel tab is almost a Kazuki trademark for this line now and the application here in a money green and white palette is particularly easy on the eye, a palette that is continued with the lace flip option.

The shoe is available at select locations throughout Asia and exclusively in Europe at the Number 6 and Number 74 Originals stores in London and Berlin.
