Vans Off The Wall: 1966

Vans recently released their Vans Off The Wall: 1966 starring some of the most talented skateboarders in Europe right now.

The DVD, which comes complete with a 100 page book of photos by Percy Dean on the making of the movie and a 21 track music compilation is available in Vans stores and selected skate shops now.

Vans Off The Wall: 1966 was in production for over 2 years and was shot in various countries across the globe and features sections from some of the most respected and talented skaters in Europe.

The video stretches beyond the tried and tested skate video formula, acting as a travel journal across the continents and the evolution of skateboarding over the past five decades.

The Vans iconic waffle sole is used as the movie's main character, taking the viewer on a journey across the ever-changing styles of skateboarding.  As the movie progresses, so does the understanding of how the brand has always supported the core of skateboarding and became an integral part of it's history and street culture in general.

The riders even feature in several flashback scenarios - paying homage to Vans, the Van Doren family and the "Off The Wall" spirit.
