If you're not familiar with the series it is the brainchild of Paul Abbott and follows the rollercoaster lives and loves of the dysfunctional Gallagher clan as they contend with life on the Chatsworth estate. Without a doubt the previous series' have been some of the best television in recent years and it'd definitely be worth catching up on 4OD before hand.
With some new characters and the thought of Frank finally being made an honest man (again) this is looking like one to watch.

Shameless, series 8 starts on Channel 4 at 10pm on Monday 10th January and continues all week at the same time.
