Acne Furniture Debut at Liberty

Last night Liberty unveiled Acne's debut furniture range as part of The London Design Festival.

Headed by creative director Jonny Johanssen, Swedish, sartorial-genius brand ACNE have broadened their offerings with an incredible new furniture collection.

Inspired by renowned Swedish designer Carl Malmsten, these elegant armchairs and sofas ooze Scandinavia sophistication, using signature ACNE denim in a contemporary approach to upholstery. In addition, these stunning, distorted, sculpture-like pieces feature bespoke floral fabric designed exclusively for the collection by Liberty, as well as 15 different colourways by Danish fabrics company KVADRAT.

With champagne flowing, intricate floral sculptures and Johansson present at the collection launch, he states his desire to "treat the upholstery in the same way we approach our jeans- by washing, bleaching and hand-dying pieces to create very bespoke finishes. I just love how the fabric changes and grows with time. For me denim is always fashion," creating a dream fusion of quintessential British meets modern, Swedish elegance.

Ikea this isn't. The debut ACNE at Liberty furniture collection will be showcased from Saturday 18th - Sunday 26th September on Liberty's 4th floor.
