A warm, Sunday afternoon at the bowls. Doesn't get much better really. Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club, held just off Brick Lane, rolled out a nice, green lawn for the occassion where players could pick up their 'woods' and have a go.
Rick Edwards was on hand to host the afternoon, only after he'd had a game or two... Mat Horne joined us on the decks mixing and scratching away. With homemade treats of lemonade, cream cakes and plenty more on offer!
Some special four-wheeled art commissions were showcased on the day, including a grass image covered Corsa, which played host to the event scoreboard and a convertible Astra Twintop, stocked with free ice creams and lollies. A new Astra created by illustrator James Cullen, who also designed the event's logo, was also on show, completed the very colourful trio.
Sadly we didn't get to drive one of the beautiful Vauxhalls home, maybe next time.
Check out some more photos of the event below.
