Carven's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection is now available at our favourite concept store The Shop at The Bluebird.
Established in 1945, French fashion house Carven was given a facelift last year by Guillaume Henry of Givenchy who joined as designer creating chic, classic everyday pieces creating a collection epitomising French style.
This collection, Guillaume Henry draws his inspiration from 60s French cinema and shares his vision of French elegance with pleats, smocked or draped fabrics and crumpled lining. Contemporary high-waisted silhouettes and slim belts, pencil skirts and cute, if not a touch mischievous silk school-girl socks.
Gorgeous absinthe felt jacket
Blouse in nude silk twill
This season's collection signature draped skirt in nude wool jersey
Nude pony hair heels
Structured leather jacket
Classic staple, white cotton shirt
Charcoal draped wool jersey skirt
Sleek black pony hair heels
Terracotta draped, wool jersey dress
Claudine collar in white crepe de chine
Black pony hair heels
With draping and pleats reminiscent of Burberry Prorsum's Spring/Summer 10 collection, these pieces are injected with the streamline elegance of Hervé Leger's bandage dresses in a stunning rusty, autumnal pallette.
This collection embodies chic Parisian style, with cinched in waists, natural shades of mushroom and flesh tones, contrasted with bold black footwear and beautiful charcoal bags to rival any Mulberry satchel. This is truly a collection of which you couldn't simple have just one piece.

More temptations to trap one in that awesome haven from the real world the Bluebird Chelsea, I love going their but always end up spending far too much time in the shop and then going back to the cafe for seconds.
