Playtime - Islington Green

Playtime is Islington's revolutionary new venue blurring the lines between bar, art installation and performance space, with transformations on a four month cycle!

Islington Green's newest dweller is Playtime bar, an ever evolving space with it's own seasons and it's own take on how to spice up your local!

Every four months a new artist will transform the ground floor of the two-storey venue and bring a fresh new taste visually and musically. The bar's first installation Hang Me High comes courtesy of cowboy artist Robert Gordon McHarg III, founder of the Subway Gallery, and sees the walls adorned with pop art, posters and board games.

Playtime follows in the footsteps of new concept bars and creative, pop-up drinking spots like Pop Up Pirates, with different artists curating the space and a varied monthly program of music and performance. A fantastic ever changing space in a brilliant location, it'll be hard for Playtime not to become our favourite local!
