Malibu By U - Life's A Beach

On Monday morning we received a cocktail kit from the kind people at Malibu and, of course, we couldn't resist trying it out (almost) straight away!

The set consists of a Malibu Cocktail Pail, Limited Edition Malibu By U blank canvas bottle of Malibu Rum and a set of four Malibu By U marker pens.

The photo above shows the bottle before we got our hands on the markers and got busy drawing on the bottle.

And this is a few hours later, as the sun was going down and the working day was finished we were pretty pleased with our bottle which left only the cocktail making/consuming part to do...

With a lovely arrangement of ingredients we set about creating some Malibu 'Life's A Beach' cocktails.

To do so we used...
- 150ml Malibu Rum
- 75ml Vodka
- Equal parts cranberry juice and lemonade to fill
- Cubed ice and fresh fruit garnish

Now the tricky bit...
- Fill 1/3 of the pitcher (1.5L pitcher) with ice
- Pour in Malibu and vodka first, then cranberry juice
- Top with lemonade
- Garnish with oranges, pineapple & lime pieces
- And serve.
(And if you don't have any vodka about you can also make this with just Malibu Rum (225ml))

Luckily Alexis Knox was on hand to help style the finished product complete with a fruit garnish and a giraffe...
