The highly anticipated American Apparel Rummage Sale turned into more of a riot than a rummage today... but will we still be able to get discounted sweatshirts and thigh-high socks tomorrow?!
Bargain hunters queued up on London's Brick Lane from 7am this morning to get their hands on their favourite basics at a fraction of the normal price.
But with prices starting at £1 and up to 85% of retail prices, the excitement was all too much for some people, and what could have been a civilised rummage, turned into mayhem, with scuffling, fighting, fainting and police eventually shutting down the sale.
We did tell you it would be carnage!
American Apparel are offering disappointed rummagers 25% off instore and online to make up for the kerfuffle, but we're still checking their official Facebook for updates as to whether we'll still get some £1 goodies over the weekend... Let's just hope this doesn't happen again...
